Hello,

I was experiencing the following issue with Seti@home while using it on Ubuntu 64-bit: After installation Boinc will download the 32-bit version of the Seti client application instead of 64-bit if I'm attached to Fightaids@home from World Community Grid. If I'm not attached to Fightaids@home, the behavior after installation is normal. I posted some logs here:

Strange isn't it?

And since today Boinc won't download the 64-bit seti client application at all, only the 32-bit version. Here are some logs:

I'm wondering why Boinc is behaving like that. I think it may be a bug.

I've also posted about this on Boinc forums. Here's the link:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=6281
and as it concerns Seti more specifically, I suppose it's o.k. to post it here as well.

So does anybody have an idea about this? Your help would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
innobits

I see that you've aborted a few of the WU's in question. Did they fail to start?

No, they started well. The reason why I aborted them was that if I don't do so prior to uninstalling Boinc, it claims about lost work-units the next time I install it, so I believe the former is better, but of course I may be wrong.

I'm wondering if it will complete the work and be valid. Give it a try see if it works. The work is the same so it can't hurt to try.
