I previously had 2 GTX-260's and replaced one of them today with a 465. Now neither seem to be processing. I am using the Boinc client 6.10.58. 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM Processor: 4 AuthenticAMD AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor [Family 16 Model 4 Stepping 3] 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM Processor: 512.00 KB cache 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM Processor features: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 htt pni cx16 syscall nx lm svm sse4a osvw ibs skinit wdt page1gb rdtscp 3dnowext 3dnow 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM OS: Microsoft Windows 7: Ultimate x64 Edition, (06.01.7600.00) 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM Memory: 8.00 GB physical, 16.00 GB virtual 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM Disk: 931.41 GB total, 636.78 GB free 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM Local time is UTC -6 hours 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 465 (driver version 26306, CUDA version 3020, compute capability 2.0, 993MB, 570 GFLOPS peak) 1/7/2011 1:51:57 PM NVIDIA GPU 1 (not used): GeForce GTX 260 (driver version 26306, CUDA version 3020, compute capability 1.3, 870MB, 608 GFLOPS peak) 1/7/2011 1:51:59 PM SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5050800; resource share 100 So am guessing I need to uninstall and reinstall the client to get everything working again..? |

Computer hidden, so we can't see your past history. Please unhide - that could be important. The client - i.e. BOINC - looks to be installed fine. Not using the - now - "lesser" GPU (GPU 1 (not used): GeForce GTX 260) is normal. Worry about that later - it can easily be fixed. Concentrate on the new GTX 465. That should be running - you say it isn't. You haven't shown us any communication between your computer and the SETI servers - that would have given a clue. In short: please give us more information before taking a sledgehammer to what looks like a perfectly servicable rig. |

First of all I always recommend using the latest drivers. So i think that would be 263.99 drivers. Second of all, I suggest you go to this website: http://lunatics.kwsn.net/ and download the V0.37 Unified installer. Make sure you get the corresponding CPU application checked and the CUDA x32f box checked, then click install. from there you should be up and running. If you wish, manually edit your app_info to run 2 WU instances at one time for maximum WU output. You can find various places on various threads here explaining how to do that by just doing a quick search. Good Luck! |

Meanwhile, having given you the regulation hard word, host 5050800 seems to have downloaded a bunch of cuda23 tasks and to be happily crunching them ;-) |

Have you reinstalled your Nvidia Driver after you have switched the GTX260/465 ? Helli A loooong time ago: First Credits after SETI@home Restart |

Uh oh... http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=5050800&offset=0&show_names=0&state=5&appid= Looks like the host is trashing all of the 6.09 work when it tries to run on the new FERMI card. Why has BOINC not downloaded the proper FERMI app to run with the new card? Will it only do that when it runs out of the 6.09 work? |

Have you reinstalled your Nvidia Driver after you have switched the GTX260/465 ? The 260 and 465 use the same drivers Cuda 26306. I updated the Cuda driver a couple days ago and after installing the new card Windows installed the driver for it. |

Uh oh... Maybe he had an Optimized app_info previously for his 260, in which case unless he updates it manually to the x32f build for his 465 it will trash all of them. |

Reinstall your Driver. GTX260 and GTX465 are different GPUs. Install which drivers, nVidea or Cuda..? I am using the Cuda driver. If you look at this site: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cuda_3_2_downloads.html You will see that the drivers are not based on which card you have but which OS you have. |

What? You do not need any "special" Cuda Driver... The normal, official Geforce Driver 258.96 is fine. Helli A loooong time ago: First Credits after SETI@home Restart |

Reinstall your Driver. GTX260 and GTX465 are different GPUs. I understand what you mean, so you just downloaded the files relevant to CUDA, not the entire driver package containing graphics, cuda and audio. I would download the latest WHQL driver package available, and do a clean install of it to make sure you kill all those birds with one stone and know that it is not a driver issue, but perhaps a card issue and/or an app_info issue. |

Ok well I now have Fermi work and the new GPU is processing, but still the other 260 is not being used. So how do I solve that matter.? |

If you have the cc_config.xml file in your BOINC Data Folder put these Line in it between <options>: <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> Helli A loooong time ago: First Credits after SETI@home Restart |

Programdata\boinc\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu NO it doesn't. cc_config.xml is a BOINC configuration file, not project-specific. It belongs in the root of the BOINC Data folder structure. For details see client configuration. The file does not exist by default: it will only be there if you have created it yourself at some point in the past. If you have to create a new one, use a plain-text editor such as notepad, and save it using the "all files" option so it doesn't get an extra .txt added to the file name. |
