A Rally of moderates... how would have thought...

http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com/

Unless mass transportation comes together.. Well maybe
I can make a local satellite rally. Is it possible.. just possible.. that people can start actually working together to iron out differences instead of
not doing anything at all, or worse?

1 Billion of Haiti Aid has been in limbo because of one congressmans concerns it could waste 5 million?
The games need to stop. We need to work together. Lives depend on it. Many have lost too much due to political games.

We are annoyed. And would really appreciate it if it stopped.

I hope, with every fibre of my being, that Stewart and Colbert hit this out of the park.
There's a chance this thing could be so big as to overwhelm the city, making that Pilsbury Doughboy's rally seem lame.

Current numbers according to facebook:193,124 say they will attend.

105,187 maybe.

This does not include the Colbert Rally to keep fear alive.

I've been following this while getting my daily fix of comedy about the 24 hour "News" channels on both Daily and Colbert shows. Fabulous idea

I did the numbers, and can not make it to the DC rally. But there are smaller satellite rallies around the country. I may try to make the one in San Francisco.

Same here.

I'd give anything to go. It's only 4 hours from here. But, I had promised my wife I'd take her to the Shuttle launch in Florida on November 1. Unfortunately, the Rally really isn't "on the way."

When the movie "Network" (written by Paddy Chayefsky) hit the screens in 1976 everybody laughed their butts off and thought it was a hilarious comedy. It seems he hit it nearly 100% correct when you compare the movie to what passes for television news today.

IMO, if you want to see where we are going environmentally then you better take another look at the movie "Soylent Green" (novel by Harry Harrison). The most interesting thing is how the major corporations took over resources and did nothing to correct a situation.

I will be hitting the satellite rally in San Francisco at 9 AM. I am annoyed enough to speak up for the non-extreme. Almost ready to re-establish the Armchair Anarchists of America (people that think things are gonna blow sky high, and hope they can watch it on cable.)
