hi,when in prefence and in the part about the comp being idle,when i pick one of the numbers is that how long the program runs or is it when the program starts after being idle????? sorry im new at this i just started this tonight. |

There are two different numbers, be careful of the settings. The first starts running after you have not used the keyboard or mouse for a few minutes. The second stops running after you have not use the keyboard or mouse for a few minutes. If you have a fairly recent computer with sufficient RAM, you should not need the first as you should be able to run BOINC in the background along with everything else. The second is used if you have your computer set to hibernate. Set BOINC to stop processing a minute or two before the hibernation kicks in. This prevents the science applications from crashing during the hibernation. BOINC WIKI |
