Greetings:

Has anyone compiled an improved BOINC / Seti client for a SUN SPARC running Solaris 5.9?

I have the standard Solaris program available on this site up and running, but it seems pretty slow compared to the windows boxes I also run.

I am running a SUN Blade 1000 w/ dual 750 Mhz CPUs, and a gig of RAM. I have a dual CPU, 667Mhz machine, that is running Windows Server 2K3, and it is kicking the crap out of the UNIX machine.

Any ideas for a tweak to the SUN box (or software environment) that will improve processing performance?
