About, Chomsky on why the center is weakening, I posted the following in an other thread here on the Discussion of Political Topics. But I'd like to also post it here. So here goes. I believe that, In our tenure of this planet, we humans have accumulated dangerous, evolutionary baggage, propensities for aggression and ritual, submission to leaders, hostility to outsiders, all of which puts our survival in some doubt. But we humans have also acquired compassion for others, love for our children, a desire to learn from history and experience, and a great, soaring passionate intelligence the clear tools for our continued survival and prosperity. I think that If we humans do not destroy ourselves, that one day we humans will evolve into a Global form of government. |
