I wear mine...not because a law tells me I have to..and I think those who don;t wear one should have a right NOT to...I guess I am pro choice..but that also means I think you are an idiot for not wearing one. Unfortunately, the state DOES have an interest in riders wearing a helmet. If you are in an accident, and you are under insured, the state picks up the tab. So riders that don't wear helmets are insisting the taxpayers share in the risk. I guess we should outlaw alcohol then. Operating a vehicle while drunk is already prohibited.
