I do not remember my account name but I remember the email address that I used... is there a way to get access to my old account that way my credit score reflects my true time involved?

Right off the front page is a link that reads, Special Instructions for SETI@Home Classic participants. Since you've already created a BOINC account to post here, I would suggest using the last link on that page under, "If you're already using BOINC". You only need your email address used when you signed up for SETI Classic.

No, there's no way to fix it. Only 1 SETI Classic account can be combined with 1 SETI-BOINC account. Once the information has been merged, there's no way to "un-merge" them.

Okay, i have both accounts, the year 2000 one and the new BOINC-account. You cannot merge Boinc accounts. Once a Classic account is linked to a Boinc account it can't be unlinked. The only choice is to pick one of the Boinc account and move forward with it leaving the other behind. ____________ Questions? Answers are in the "Unofficial" BOINC Wiki. I still can log into account but no longer have the software to run anything. When I load the new stuff is there something I need to do to make it go to the existing account. If by "the new stuff" you mean BOINC you have to attach to project. Switch BOINC Manager to Advanced Mode From Menu: Tools -> Attach to project.... Select SETI@home Select * Yes, existing user Enter (Copy/Paste from Your Account) the correct email address (as you see it in Your Account no matter is the email still valid) All the "stuff" SETI needs (programs + data) will then be downloaded and started automatically. ____________ - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :)
