An Aussie, self-taught, but oh, my, what he can do with a guitar. Just awarded the CMA World Country Singer of the Year. But Country is not all he is. 2.5 hours, with a 15-minute break. Four selections from tonight's concert: Classical Gas Over the Rainbow Willie's Shades and Initiation For Initiation, close your eyes and imagine yourself in an Aboriginal tribal circle, as young boys are initiated into manhood. Hear the thundersticks and digiridoos, feel the wind and rain, and the animals in the dark of the Outback. All done with a single guitar and a little reverb. Awesome.
