The machine I have running rescheduler now has BOINC in D:\BOINC & D:\BOINC\DATA. D:\BOINC\DATA contains the client_state.xml which rescheduler needs to modify. If that machines wasn't at work I'd get a screen shot of what is in there for ya. Position=75 OnlyVLarVHar=1 TrueAngleRate=0 DataPath=D:\BOINC\DATA BoincBinPath=D:\BOINC VharToCpu=0 [Automatic] Automatic=0 Interval=4 CPUPerInterval=50 GPUPerInterval=150 [WorkUnits] I think your Reschedule.ini file should look something like this .. should work? |

Well, it's got me stumped. I don't have any GPU tasks to see, that is why I was trying to reschedule. I had noticed that the RAC had dropped over 1000 so I went to check on it and it has no GPU work. Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

Well, it's got me stumped. Do you have the "move VHAR/VLAR to CPU only" checked do you? In that mode it doesn't seem to ever move tasks to the GPU. At least in my playing around with it I haven't got it to. The other day when no tasks were going out I disabled the move VH to CPU, set the slider to 60%, & rescheduled. Well, it's got me stumped. It shows 0 slots, doesn't matter which setting I try it can't see the work that is running. It has never seen my CPU tasks maybe someone has a link to the previous version? Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

Too Strange, I totally deleted boinc and reinstalled and put the data file in my docs and changed the location in reschedule and the locations were fine but still 0 slots and it can't see any of the units I have. I copied the old folder over and didn't lose any work but still no GPU work... 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Starting BOINC client version 6.10.32 for windows_x86_64 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Config: use all coprocessors 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM log flags: file_xfer, sched_ops, task 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Libraries: libcurl/7.19.7 OpenSSL/0.9.8l zlib/1.2.3 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Data directory: C:\Documents and Settings\Boinc 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Running under account Administrator 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Processor: 2 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz [EM64T Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 9] 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Processor: 1.00 MB cache 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM OS: Microsoft Windows XP: Professional x64 Edition, Service Pack 2, (05.02.3790.00) 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Memory: 2.00 GB physical, 3.87 GB virtual 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Disk: 34.46 GB total, 16.73 GB free 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Local time is UTC -8 hours 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 9600 GSO (driver version 19107, CUDA version 2030, compute capability 1.1, 768MB, 276 GFLOPS peak) 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM SETI@home Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM SETI@home URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5216307; resource share 1000 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM SETI@home General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 07-Feb-2010 12:30:35) 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM SETI@home Computer location: work 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM General prefs: using separate prefs for work 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Reading preferences override file 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Preferences: 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM max memory usage when active: 1842.30MB 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM max memory usage when idle: 1842.30MB 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM max disk usage: 16.81GB 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM (to change, visit the web site of an attached project, 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM or click on Preferences) 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Using proxy info from GUI 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM Not using a proxy 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM SETI@home Restarting task 30dc06ac.11488.5391.4.10.168_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 528 2/7/2010 9:06:24 PM SETI@home Restarting task 30dc06ac.11488.5391.4.10.153_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 528 I even uninstalled McAfee... You might need to add quotes around the lines if you are using a folder with spaces in it. So instead of C:\Documents and Settings\Boinc you would have "C:\Documents and Settings\Boinc" and such. Nope it didn't like that, it said the folder didn't exist when I put the " before and after. It finds the folders as it says "0 slots occuppied" and "no reschedule needed" when I do a test. If it doesn't like the destination it always give you the can't find folder message when you do a test. I guess it just isn't going to work for this machine.... Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... Are you launching ReSchedule with a shortcut icon? Check the icon's properties, specifically the Start-In just to make sure it's not throwing things off (or maybe delete the icon and fresh create it). Also, under 'Advance,' you might want to checkbox 'run as admin' in case privs are tripping you up ("Documents and settings" is often sandboxed by user token). Edit -- PS: Even if the lunatic versions were from the year 3000, ReSchedule shouldn't come back with Slots 0. |

Both are in different folders. EDIT: Will check and see if run as administrator is checked thanks... Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

Must be too old a machine as I ran the most recent lunatics installer. Some versions of Boinc seem to get confused when first moving to anonymous platform, and mark tasks with an earlier version (5.28). The 1 time I've seen this happen was a long time ago, and it corrected itself on the second work fetch (so I had tasks marked with 5.28 & 6.03 without having changed anything.) Removing the 5.28 app version block from the app info & restarting Boinc should either prompt Boinc to remark the units to the remaining higher version number (6.03), or dump the tasks ... depending on the phase of the moon most likely.
