If it turn's out that the deadine is reach before the unit is ready it should delete the unit and download a new one... for example i havn't been home and have the computer on for some while.. if you understand what i mean (excouse me for my bad english)

It is not always true that this is a good answer. For example during the long server outage this summer, it was possible to have a WU that was several weeks past deadline that would still possibly be granted credit when the servers came back up. A result will get credit if it is returned before the last replacement WU is returned (the replacement WU will also get credit) iff the verifier indicates that it matches the already returned results. So a replacement has to be sent out, crunched, sent back, verified, and deleted before there is no possiblility of getting credit. If the old WU is sent back before the replacement WU is actually sent the replacement WU will be marked as didn't need. So it depends upon the status of the server, and how late the result actually is.

but then seti could use it as if the unit is done it will be deleted... if there is no use for it..
