I am running 6.6.36, and have been for months. My machine is down to about 15 hours of WUs and it will NOT even ask for new WUs - I tried stopping and starting BOINC, and reporting WUs explicitly, but it doesn't ask for new WUs (I have a nominal 7 day cache, but it just won't request new WUs): 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07ae.8438.8661.9.10.236_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07ae.8438.8661.9.10.242_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 13au09ab.31155.13978.15.10.230_2 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 13au09ab.31155.13978.15.10.249_3 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07af.8966.6616.5.10.222_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07af.8966.6616.5.10.206_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07ae.8438.8661.9.10.220_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07af.8966.6616.5.10.190_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 11/28/2009 1:00:58 AM SETI@home Restarting task 03mr07ac.2449.6616.16.10.74_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 608 11/28/2009 1:01:39 AM SETI@home update requested by user 11/28/2009 1:01:45 AM SETI@home Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 11/28/2009 1:01:45 AM SETI@home Reporting 53 completed tasks, not requesting new tasks 11/28/2009 1:01:55 AM SETI@home Scheduler request completed Is there anything I can do about this? My other machine, runniong 6.6.20, is fine about asking for new WUs... |

Allow new task? Say what? I don't understand this comment; could you please expand on it? My cache is set to 8 days, but I have only a few hours of WUs left.... Thanks, Jon (EDIT) I'm a f**king idiot - I had my SETI set to "no new tasks"!!! THANKS for the hint, and I will slink away under this handy rock here....(/EDIT) |

If not: What tasks are running? How much time left on those tasks (all projects)? How much time left to deadline on those tasks? What is your Connect Every X setting (local settings)? What is your Extra Work Setting? How many CPUs? What are the long_term_debt values from the client_state.xml file? What are the duration_correction values from the client_state.xml file (one per project)? What is the time_stats of the client_state.xml file? BOINC WIKI |
