Both LHC and Climate Prediction are reporting
credits to the BoincStats site. Both have an
identical cross-project ID.

SetiBoinc still shows no cross-project ID,
after more than two months of work.

Does antone else have this blank field in
the database?

Mine is not blank, but at my last check 2 weeks ago, the CPID that seti@home would have me use, doesn't actually produce any useable stats, the one I got from Climate prediction or LHC, can't remember now, does produce stats for all my current projects, including seti.
I'm not at all sure why yours is still blank, but other folks on this board have reported that the CPID for a given project can be different than the rest, the usual advice is to wait for the system to catch up, 2 months, however, seems a bit extreme, but with all the other weird s**t going on round here, I've given up expecting things to happen as they should, it will happen one day, sometime, hopefully within my lifetime, beyond that, if there is something to crunch, I'll crunch it, to the best of my abilities.

Best wishes

Another note... The email address used for each project must be the same for the CPID to function properly.

I have a CPID on all three accounts. SETI and LHC use the same CPID, Pirates uses a different CPID and the BoincStats site (supposedly www.boincstats.com) uses yet another CPID. I have updated all of the sites at least three times, so the numbers should be sync'd, everything else seems to be, and, yes, I have used the same name and email address on all three sites.

I've also been having a small problem with my signatures stats display. I've finally tracked it down to the URL used in the signature. The URL is supposed to be 'www.boincstats.com' but it doesn't work properly. I have had to resort to using the IP address (69.93.59.107) in the link. Once I changed to using the IP address, I started getting current numbers in my signature.

Cheers,

Stephen

Pirates most likely won't sync unless you get some work from them. As for what's up with the stats site, who knows...

@ Stephen Balch. Could you tell me how to get Boincstats sig to work? I seem to be missing something in my setup of this feature as you can see below.

98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8

And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

Thanx for the help, I was using the wrong image tag. Looks good now. :)

@Heffed,

I thought it might be something like that. Since Pirates doesn't put out many WU's, I'll probably be up on Einstein before I get anything from them.

That doesn't explain the (third) different CPID used on boincstats, but I'll not worry about it.

@Steve Cressman,

Obviously Boinc User got you fixed up before I got back here. Looks good, and I REALLY like your tag line. (GRIN)

Just for informational purposes, the original link I used to the boincstats site was www.boincstats.com. It gave me stats that were very old (about 3/4 of what I actually have) and never seemed to be updated. After I went to the site and saw my current stats were available there, I noticed the IP address was displayed in the navigation bar on my web browser, rather than the normal URL.

I replaced the 'www.boincstats.com' URL in my signature with the IP address (69.93.59.107) and it worked, properly displaying my current stats.

I also noticed the CPID on the boincstats site is different that the one displayed on my SETI and LHC account pages. The "proper" CPID from SETI and LHC didn't work, but the CPID on the boincstats site did work, so I used it.

An example of the code that works is (replace '[' with "less than" and ']' with "greater than"):

Cheers,

Stephen

@Stephan Thanx for responding as well. I figured out changing the URL to the IP address and also found out about the differant CPID number from a search on Boincstats Forum. But with the help of BoincUser I realized I was using the wrong image tag in the sig. And thanx for the compliment on my tag line :)

First of all: sorry for the confusion about the BOINCstats sig and the mess with the URL versus IP address. It's taking a awfull long time to move the domainname to another hosting provider, it's taking about 2 weeks now.

Then about the CPID: some users reported to me that the CPID on the projects sites do not match the CPID on BOINCstats. Yet, the stats do update every day.
I verified that the CPID on BOINCstats is the CPID that is exported in the XML files. I can't however check the project sites, as the user pages are of course not accessible for me. There is nothing wrong with my account.

Thanks for the information about having to run
projects together to get a single common CrossID.

Time to get off my duff and set up a Linux box and a LAN.

You're welcome.

Congratulations on meeting Richard F. Gordon! To meet a pioneer in space must've have been fantastic.

I hope to live to see the day space travel is as common as taking an airplane is today.

It was a day I will never forget. That same day I also met Mercury Astronaut Scott Carpenter, Pavel Popovich (the forth Russian in space), Skylab Astronaut Jack Lousma, Colonel Yuri Lonchakov (STS-100, Soyuz TMA-1) and Mikhail Tyurin (flight engineer on ISS expedition 3, STS-105, STS-108)
