Message 939598 - Posted: 13 Oct 2009, 10:13:48 UTC - in response to Message 939593.

What has gone wrong, or what am I doing wrong and how do I fix this?

We can't tell, unless you give us more information. Is there any evidence in the Messages tab?

Gruß,
Gundolf

Appears you need to enable Multibeam (MB) application in your SETI preferences:

Oh, now it makes sense. Yes, there is a file under your boinc data's folder:

BOINC/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu/app_info.xml

This XML file contains definition for the Astropulse application. But in order for BOINC to download SETI@home Enhanced too, there needs to be a similar definition for that application (along-side the Astropulse one).

Afraid I am at the end of my help here, so would the others reading this thread who run the optimized apps, please help Richard edit his app_info.xml file?

It's also possible that everything is correct, and there's just no GPU work for you. :) In which case, just wait and see if it gets more work later on.

Does the new Nvidia drivers install the new .dll's? If not, where can I get them and where do they install to?
Thanx!
And after the spanking comes...

if there is multibeam work available, then there should be cuda work available too. the multibeam and cuda are the same work units. they are interchangable.

Yes, but this file should be okay, since Richard used the unified installer and did get CUDA tasks.

I think it's this one, since I got several "Project has no jobs available" messages too. However, within a few minutes, I got a task. So, patience is the key :-)

The rigs that have been "Upgraded" were running GPU Units that they had prior to upgrade.

They have downloaded Enhanced 6.03 SETI WUs but no 6.08 CUDA Units. One rig still has som GPU Units left but the other two have been getting the No Work Available message from the server for the last 10 hours, but the rigs that have not had the "Upgrade" are the ones getting the GPU Units.

Richard,
Could you restart BOINC and post the first 30 BOINC messages upon startup? That may help us.

Richard, I know this will sound condescending but when you ran the Lunatic's installer did you see the box at the bottom you have to check to run GPU WUs? A lot of people miss it when they first use the installer.

Edit: You can just run the installer again and make sure the box is checked.

Did that to make sure I had checked the box, doesn't help that the project server is down at the moment though.

All the servers are up, there's just a lot of traffic at the moment. Bandwidth is maxed out.
