Ihr habt letztes Wochenende versucht in der Ruprik GPU Infos zu bringen >Your GPU/CUDA question seems like a different question, but I didn't really >understand what you're asking. Also wieder unnötiger Web-Trafik.... Also liebe Grüsse an Gundolf und Ned |

>That will change when the package arrives in Berkeley, but since today is a >holiday in the U.S., the delivery is not going to arrive today.

Now I do understand the words, but still don't know what you want to say. In one message you complain about too many infos given (by the way, where is the "Rubrik GPU"?) in the next, you ask why infos aren't given when you only have to read one or two threads to get them. And do you really think that the server load increases when info is given here at the forum? What I do think is that this is no topic for the technical news. Gruß, Gundolf |

>And do you really think that the server load increases when info is given here >at the forum? NEIN! >you ask why infos aren't given when you only have to read one or two threads >to get them.

Wow Seti runs out of work! I joined in 2000. As I remember the data I recieved that time was up to three month or more old. Now a days they do not have enough work for us. This is fascinating. Thanks to Intel and AMD and all the other processor manufacuturers for providing so much MIPS for so less money. Stay tuned |

>for providing so much MIPS for so less money. 4 X Nvidia GTX 295 = 2.000,00 Euro (EUR) = 2.834,00 US-Dollar (USD) and daily electrical current 24 / 7 =less money????? ;-) |

Nobody is obliged to use a nVidia or ATI board. I am running 5 BOINC projects on an AMD Opteron 1210 running Linux 24/7 at 1.8 GHz and always meeting deadlines. Tullio |

For that amount of computing, yes, it's incredibly inexpensive. ... and while I greatly appreciate the enthusiasm for the project from those who build very-high-end computers just to crunch, I don't share it. My fastest cruncher is an Athlon XP. |

the only way i would buy computers just to crunch, is if i won the lottery. first i have to play. I recommend Secunia PSI: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ Go Georgia Tech. |

I am not certain I would buy computers just to crunch even then... BOINC WIKI |

My computer needs work or it becomes almost human (lazy) maybe we should remove the human factor. COMPUTERS DON'T NEED HOLIDAYS Computers don't need holidays, true - BUT people do! — and it was a people holiday, here in the USA (Labor Day) on the 7th. (Berkeley [Pacific Daylight Time, {UTC -7}] time) . Hello, from Albany, CA!... |

OK you can still spend a lot of money for the MIPS. But if you look at this: Today a C2D E7500 2,93GHz is about 100Eur In 2000 A Pentium II(I) 400Mhz was about 200-250Eur So the Eur/MIPS has dramaticaly dereased Thats what i mean |

Google Translate: Yes I would, I do understand what you mean! But if you already spends 2,000 euros for a project and then it was as good as nothing, because there is no work, then you just annoyed ;-( Since 5 weeks already, there are problems with sending packages from Cuda! 9-12, the Bambi servers only run 3 days a week. It will be seen until Friday, there is work, if any, and on Saturday you are offline again. Nice Greetings |

Google Translater: The finished WU are 100% ready to transfer, Then the server does not somehow manages the uploading as reportet register, AND THEN UPLOAD THE BEGINNING OF 0% TO AGAIN! And that goes for hours! Programmers, please contact the work to install a download manager that there does continue where it previously left off. |
