Anch'io mangio spaghetti con salsa bolognese di Barilla.

Io uso solo pasta Barilla :)
While the dish has been a staple for millions of diners around the world for decades, Italians claimed the original recipe has become so corrupted it is in urgent need of culinary rescue.
Spaghetti Bolognese.

In the female combined race at Bansko in Bulgaria Anna Fenninger was first and Tina Maze second. They are fighting for the World Cup, with Tina still leading but Anna closing in. Anna is a female Stenmark. Tomorrow another SuperG.

In the bad weather in Italy right now at least two people died. A woman was crushed to death in Urbino, just south of San Marino, when she came under a falling tree, having just stepped off a bus.
It so strange because I been to San Marino close to Rimini and it's very far from the alpes.

The Alps have shielded the Po Valley from the strong winds, which destroyed many trees in Tuscany. The cableway in Val Gardena, where I have skied many times, should have been stopped because of strong winds but since you pay for a whole week ("settimana bianca") use of the cableway they kept it moving, and people were saved by a helicopter of the Alpine Rescue Corp, of which I was a voluntary member.
I have heard from Italian IV that a cableway pass in Vail, Colorado, is about 140 dollars/day.I don't know if this is true, but it is much higher than in Italy. In Switzerland it costs even less than in Italy.

Oh dear. When I was in Courmayeur in the early 80's a cableway pass cost about 40 dollars a week!

Gudrun was a powerful storm which hit Denmark and Sweden on 8 January 2005 and Estonia on 9 January 2005.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Gudrun
The storm caused significant financial damage in Sweden, where the forest industry suffered greatly from damaged trees, as more than 75,000,000 cubic metres (2.6×109 cu ft) of trees were blown down in southern Sweden. This resulted in Sweden at the time having the world's largest storage of lumber.

About 415,000 homes lost power in Sweden and several thousand of these were without power for many days and even weeks in some cases, as about 10,000 homes were still without power after three weeks.[1] The death toll in Sweden was 20 victims, making it one of the biggest environmental disasters in Swedish history, while four were killed in Denmark.

I saw a recorded race in a combined event in which Alessando Pittin, 38th in the jumps standings, arrived 5th, after having gained more than 2 minutes in the 10 km race on the winner, a Japanese. He could become a good cross country skier.

Pittin is the first Italian to medal in Nordic combined at the Winter Olympics with his bronze in the 10 km individual normal hill event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Nordic combined (skiing and shooting at target) is now most won by non Nordics:)
Magdalena Forsberg was however an exeption. And Björn Ferry who took gold in a Olympic Game.

Really funny to watch. Especially the standing shooting where you can loose a lot of time.

Garmisch Partenkirchen. Tina Maze has just finnished.

Results after seeded group.
1 Lindsey Vonn her 65'th WC victory.
2 Tina Maze
3 Anna Fenninger.
