LOL. Marcel first and Henrik second as always.
And Andre Myrher (left) is tall but Ramon Zenhausern (center) is even taller. 200 cm!

With his slalom win in Kranjska Gora today, Marcel Hirscher extended his lead in overall standings to 289 points, a gap that his closest contender Henrik Kristoffersen cannot close with only two tech races to go before the end of the season. He also secured the slalom standings, bringing his crystal globe collection to 17, only trailing Ingemar Stenmark who claimed 19.

Vasaloppet/Marcialonga
Johan Olsson has won the World Cup gold at cross country skiing 50 km , but thinks it's a big difference in 50 km and 90 km.
- I'm tired. I do not think you can skii 90 km and feel comfortable. At least not on skis, by car maybe it goes.
Olsson finished Vasaloppet at 04:47:45, just over half an hour slower than the elite.
Norwegian Andreas Nygaard won. Surprised?

At least Federico Pellegrino has beaten Johannes Klaebo in a sprint race in Lahti.

Way to go "Pelle".
And Johannes Kläbo is another tired skier who didn't even participated in the Olympic 50 km cross country skiing.
No, just kidding. He will be back:)

The election results in Italy point to the same results as the opinion polls - Movimento Cinque Stelle is greatest but it will be deadlocked in parliament.
Popular Movimento Cinque Stelle is the largest single party in the Italian parliamentary elections, but Silvio Berlusconi's right-wing coalition with Forza Italia, right-populated Lega Nord and right-wing Fratelli d'Italia, hardly leads, according to election results published at 23 o'clock when the election was closed.

Now the ball passes to Di Maio of Movimento Cinque Stelle. Let's hope he is not another young inexpert politician like Matteo Renzi, who collapsed the Democratic Party with his hubris.

Stock market today.
The shares in the Berlusconi media company Mediaset falls more than 5 percent on the Milan Stock Exchange.
An unexpectedly weak result for Silvio Berlusconi's right-wing Forza Italia in the Italian elections is behind the trend.
I thought Berlusconi had gave up his political ambitions.
But he has more hair now then he had in the 90's:)
Silvio Berlusconi was ordered in 2014 to help out at the Sacra Famiglia centre as part of his one year sentence for tax fraud which also saw him thrown out of the Italian parliament.

I think Berlusconi is engaged in a legal battle with hist past wife, Veronica Lario, over the amount of alimony. A recent sentence of the Corte di Cassazione said that since the lady has money of her own he is no longer obliged to pay the alimony and, more, she should give back what she received so far (1.5 million euro/month). Of course she is fighting back so lawyers enjoy the battle.

Bicycle races have started with Tirrreno Adriatico in Italy and Paris-Nice in France. Marcel Kittel (Germany) wins at Follonica in a sprint with Carl Sagan (Slovakia) World Champion. I am not following the Paris-Nice, I have other things to do.

Even though the Paris-Nice is a classical...
Anyway, Paris-Nice will end on Sunday.

Beat Feuz should win the downhill Cup

Unless Aksel "Supergutten" manage to win and Beat makes a very bad run in Ã…re.

Speaking of Norway.
The very classical Cross country skiing 50 km in Holmenkollen this afternoon.
But now many Norwegians call for the classic duels against the Swedes.
Even Norwegian skiiers like Bjørn Dæhlie:)
Dæhlie won a total of 29 medals in the Olympics and World Championships in the period between 1991 and 1999, making Dæhlie the most successful male cross-country skier in history.
"You lack that fight between countries that makes it fun," says Anne Gro Helsvig to SVT Sport.
