Holmenkollen expert Martin Johnsrud Sundby from Norway could not be closer enough to a victory in the highly dramatic 50km.
He lost only by one hundred of a second after skiing for about 2 hours!
Must be a record:)

Marc Soler (Spa) has taken the overall title at Paris-Nice after a long-range attack on the final stage, beating Simon Yates (GBr) by just four seconds.
I have no idea who Marc Soler is.
But Simon and Adam Yates are also twins:)

San Remo:)
Next to a tall growing cypress in a San Remo villages park is a Bofors cannon.
The cannon's fire pipe is directed towards the azure Mediterranean Sea.
The location of the heavy weapon among the park's cypresses and palms, orange trees and flowers is explained by the name of the park's large building: Villa Nobel.
Here, in an Arabian-inspired and beautiful giant villa, the inventor and donor Alfred Nobel lived the last years of his life.
This was where he died on December 10, 1896.

Bofors AB is a Swedish arms manufacturer. The name has been associated with the iron industry and artillery manufacturing for more than 350 years. Bofors' most famous owner was Alfred Nobel, who owned the company from 1894 until his death in December 1896.
Alfred Nobel was a strange man and founded the Nobel Peace Prize...

Lara Gut will not race in the Giant Slalom in Are on Sunday. She is tired and needs a rest. Frankly, those skiers spend more time traveling around the globe than skiing. Think only of jet lag and crossing too many time zones. This is bad for biological cycles, especially in women.

Next week it will be "Summertime" (Daylight Saving Time).
But when will spring come to Sweden?
We will still have about 0 C at day and -10 C at night at least for another week.
And it's already in the middle of Mars.
Brr. Molto freddo!
I think I do like Sophia Goggia and going to Italy and enjoy La Bella Vita instead...

Last Ladies Slalom Ã…re.
1. Mikaela Shriffin USA, the Queen of Slalom!
2. Wendy Holdener, SUI
3. Frida Hansdotter SWE

Mikaela is only 23 years old and has now already 43 World Cup Victories!
She now said when asked if she was tired and agreed that her doing both Downhill and Super-G as well, made her lost focus and confidence in the beginnning of the season.
Well, she perform anyway:)

Milan-San Remo or la Primavera is 291 km in length and is the longest of all professional one-day's competitions.
Nibali did it in 7 hour and 18 minuts.
Vätternrundan is 300 km in length.
I did it in about 10 hours at the peek of my "career".
Hmm...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A4tternrundan

Vätternrundan is btw very much like the Marcialonga but on bicycles instead.
Strange that Italy doesn't have a "competition" like that.
