i have tried to install nvidia cuda toolkit twice now. it keeps stopping on me. the installer copies files then it minimizes to the taskbar and stays that way until i use task manager to stop it hours later. any ideas why it's doing this?

I don't know why you would be installing the entire CUDA toolkit. That software package is not required to run CUDA apps. Only the 3 dll files............

cudart.dll  	(188 KB as supplied by Seti or 275 KB for version 2.2)
cufft.dll	   (380 KB as supplied by Seti or 1.12 MB for version 2.2)

libfftw3f-3-1-1a_upx.dll  (438 KB from Seti or Lunatics)


are required for CUDA. Guess you could be programing a CUDA app though.
