I have seen a few too many big rigs with the shiny side down to want to see them not have some steel above the drivers head. All glass cabs also tend to get hotter in summer and colder in winter. There have been several concepts in the past that had glass bubbles, few if any of them ever went into production.

I can't imagine that hauling around an algae farm large enough to supply the hydrogen would be anything like efficient. That is a rather large tank of water that would be needed (think swimming pools rather than gas tanks).

I just checked. Algae does indeed produce a small amount of hydrogen. There is research to see if it can be made to produce more hydrogen so that it can become efficient.
