Hier können wir uns über SETI@home, aber auch über ganz andere Dinge unterhalten.

Es gibt hier auch ein German Cafe, aber dort ist Deutsch und Englisch erlaubt. Also ist es eher ein internationales Café.

Here is also a German Cafe, but there is german and english allowed. So it's more an international Café.

I would like to ask you to take some moments of consideration of yourself.

We all are guests on the websites of the University of California and form an international community of supporters of Seti@Home. Accepting the 'German Cafe' on their webpages is a gesture of friendship by the operators. Still this very thread is under the responsibility of the moderators. The moderators have installed regulations which participants may follow if they feel misunderstood or been mistreated. You could have followed that track also.

I would like to add that you are not in the position to represent or speak for all germans (me of course neither).

I was talking to the opening poster of the German Cafe.
Also to one other german in the other thread.

I thought it would be well to make a thread which is little bit more german.

A german Cafe, which is named German Cafe?
A german Cafe, is in my eyes a Deutsches Café.

But, I didn't saw/got an opened ear.
There wasn't interest.


I wanted to show also the international community more about "deutsche Folklore und deutsches Brauchtum".
That they could see and learn about Germany.


It wasn't only because of a misunderstood comment of a Mod.
In my eyes, if a Mod say something which is meant personal and not as Mod, it should be looking different. Or signed, hey - personal meaning.
I understood the Mod post that I need to write in school german, that the english Mods can translate with internet translator.


I think I'm too much in the forum.
I thought maybe too much about a Deutsches Café topic.

Nein, ich habe kein Problem (mehr).

Ich habe einen Mod nicht richtig verstanden bzw. falsch interpretiert was er/sie geschrieben hat.
Oder er/sie hätte sich besser ausdrücken müssen..? ;-)

Yes, you're right, I tried this, but in vain. My secretary knows how to do it, but she had a day off on that day. So I had to help myself with a 'workaround'. Sorry for that.
