Its been almost 24 hours i have not been able to download any new work units. they are listed in the download section but get the error.. i saw there was a thread about this before but its gone or i have forgotten where it was. just looking for an update. thanks in advance.

I just could finish the long pending up/downloads on my two computers by doing a reboot. That often seems to help, I don't know if it's by clearing buffers or anything else.
