Anyone following this mystery over the last year or so....??

http://www.nhne.org/news/NewsArticlesArchive/tabid/400/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/4664/Concern-Voiced-Over-Solar-Inactivity.aspx

This article was dated as of June of last year... more recently, so far this year there have been still zero sun spots observed. Making the unusual period of silence almost another full year longer.

Hello there!
I watched the 100 hours of astronomy (life internet connection to the telescopes and observatories)
the past days and saw an interview/speech of an astronomer talking about this issue......
He was quite surprised not having observed any activity the last months. It seems there´s a low activity (close to zero) for sunspots.
Astronomers know there are periods of decrease and increase of activity, but this time now is the longest
(eight months delay so far) low activity period since we record data....
The interview took place at a solar observatory in La Palma (Canary Islands/Spain).
Cheers!
