I just installed BIONIC and seti@home, and I was just wondering... What is astropulse? Is it the program for seti@home? And why do I have 2 running at the same time? I'm sorry if I seem a bit noobish :P

Astropulse is one of the types of work units available from SETI@Home. It looks like you have a hyperthreaded Pentium 4 CPU, so BOINC manager will run two work units simultaneously.

Seti has two types of applications. Seti Enhanced with is a similar but more in depth version of the original Seti analysis of the data. Astropulse is new software that takes a different approach at analyzing the data.
see How SETI@home works for original Seti search and Astropulse FAQ

Boinc runs as many WU (Work Units) as there are CPUs on your system be they real or emulated.
