I'd like to set my work laptop to not download AP WUs. The issue is that I only run BOINC on it during off-hours and, if I travel, I sometimes go days or weeks without running BOINC. I've already had to abort a few APs in the past because I simply would not have finished them by the report deadline and now I seem to only be downloading AP WUs on both the home and work computers. I currently have 2 APs in progress and do not want to change the setting if it will abort these 2 (one at about 70%, the other at about 45%) plus an additional AP that is queued. I've searched the help and other posts but have not found anything definitive. If changing the setting will abort the current runs my plan is to not get any new tasks until the ones I currently have are completed. Any help would be appreciated. |

all you need to do is to head to your seti personal page, click on seti@home preferences, unclick run astropulse, AP v5 and run other apps. this should prevent AP from being downloaded again. Also if you have other PCs that you want to run AP on just assign them to "home" and your laptop to either "school" or "work" making sure the AP settings are correct In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Hi, Yes you can change the settings in your setiathome preferences without it effecting the tasks you are already processing. |
