Hi, I just updated my preferences at the Seti@Home site and directly in Boinc. I set memory usage to 75% instead of the default 50%. Now when I run Boinc the messages say that I am able to use 3 GB, but it is only using 1 GB. Why is this happening?

BOINC only uses what it needs. The settings drive an upper limit. If the amount of work for BOINC would exceed that limit, then that work is not downloaded.

To have actually used 1GB, you must be doing some projects in addition to S@H as SETI tasks are < 1MB, and AP tasks are < 10MB. However, CPDN tasks are about 700Mb...
