Running BOINC on dual quad machine Centos 5.2

I am setting this machine as a server and just reinstalled Centos 5.2 as I just went raid 10.

It was working perfectly on same machine/os but now when it runs there is no display. I started run_manager and got a quick flash. I checked the process monitor and Boinc is running - but sleeping. Why did I lose the GUI on this simple installation?

I hate seeing 8 CPU's going to waste.
The harder I works, the behinder I gets....
