OK folks... I have an upcoming system build to replace my aging Celeron Desktop. I plan on having Dual HD Screens with DVI-D HDCP ports. I am looking for a Graphics card which has two DVI ports so it will be compatible with the monitors, said DVI ports on the Graphics card must also have High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) enabled. It also must include Nvidia PureVideo HD.... Minimum 512MB Memory, cannot spend much money (for example, no GTX 2xx) as that is tied up with other components in the system. I do not care if it is or isn't CUDA enabled. Cheapest possible please... I have searched to no avail. Help? More details available by request. - Luke. |

Not sure if it meets all your requirements, but here's one: EVGA 9400 GT $59.99 (has $20 rebate at the moment - but you're in NZ, right?)... Maybe look for it from a local supplier if it works. -Dave [Edit] There's also this one from PNY $149 but it does seem to meet all your requrements, even lists that PureHD thing in the specs... |

Not sure if you can get in on this, but Microcenter has the PNY 8800 GTS on sale for USD $99, and there's a $20 MIR on top of that! See it here: https://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0279013 This is the 512MB version with the G92 GPU. I understand it's not "Bleeding Edge" anymore, but most of the bugs have been worked out, and it's still a darn fine video card. Martin |

re: Dual-Link DVI and HDCP this might help: http://www.projectorpeople.com/cables/HDCP_DVI.asp and here: http://www.datapro.net/techinfo/dvi_info.html Wikipedia is generally another good source. Martin |

I do not care if it is or isn't CUDA enabled. We're sorry to inform you that this statement doesn't comply with the new strictly-PR policy of this project. This thread will have to be hidden. SETI New Order thought police (signature illegible) |
