I cannot view the graphics on seti@home using the provided boinc client (the one they offer you to download). Work is being done, but no graphics.

I tried installing wxwidgets and using "xhost +local:", none work.

FIXED!

Download the oldest version of wine for windows 98+, install wine 1.1.9, and install the program under wine. Then you can easily view graphics.

using Wine to run Seti/Astropulse is MASSIVE waste of CPU cycles and time!

What sort of error messages were you getting?
What Graphics card were you using? Which Drivers? Did Direct Rendering i.e. hardware acceleration work?

When you say "BOINC Client" do you mean the BOINC client program (the bit that does the work) or the GUI Interface called BOINC Manager from which you can view the graphics? They are different things and if you installed the BOINC version provided by your distribution usually separate packages.

Did you install the x86 or x86_64 version of BOINC?
