The last time I ate rice (a long time ago as I hate rice oops!) I had less than ¼ pound dry weight and was quite full and happy.

So, 9.47 pounds of rice equates to nearly 38 meals. May not sound like much to you or I but to someone who’s family is starving to death, that is bonanza.

It all depends on a person’s perspective, I guess. Sure, your 9 pounds of rice doesn’t sound like much but, like crunching BOINC, it is the millions of little bits that adds up to a heck of a lot.
