Hmm... Since about 24 hours, several of my Machines quit a certain percentage of SETI Workunits with 0 Seconds runtime and the Status "Computation Error" ?! BOINC GUI reports : "Result [name] exited with zero status but no 'finished' File" "If this happens repeatedly, you might need to reset the Project" "Aborting Result [name] exceeded Memory limit 33445522.000000" "Unrecoverable error for result [name] Maximum Memory Usage exceeded" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Just a Batch of faulty Workunits (other Projects are running perfectly fine on the Machines) ? Or might the frequent suspending and timeslicing of 3 different Projects might cause a Memory Leak/Problem in the long run ? -- edit -- Just had the same machine produce the same error again. (Linux, Athlon64 3000+, 512MB RAM) I remote logged into the machine to check the RAM usage, but it looks completely normal, plenty of free RAM available (as expected) Again : "Aborting Result [name] exceeded Memory limit 33445522.000000" (same number concerning Memory limit, although technically, the Client could take 10x times that amount of Memory without causing Problems) What gives ? I've just given it the "Reset Project" Command, let's see if that helps... *scratches head* ___________________________________________
Scientific Network : 36200 MHz «» 8204 MB «» 815.0 GB

Hmpf... It got alot less now, I just had only one more of these errors a few Minutes ago... Either disabling the "Leave Application in Memory when Suspended" worked, or I need to reboot and/or reset the Project on the affected machine. Just odd, seems I have an isolated Problem there on those 2 Linux machines that nobody else has :p ___________________________________________
Scientific Network : 36200 MHz «» 8204 MB «» 815.0 GB
