When the Boinc software runs I get "Starting BOINC client version 4.09 for windows_intelx86", but then "Resuming computation for result (number) using setiathome version 4,03" is displayed. Anyone know reason?

4.03 is version of Seti client running under control of BOINC 4.06 clinet.
If youwere participating in LHC for example, you'd get Sixtrack 4.46 client from them ;-)

You will have multiple science applications running on the BOINC Software and this will give rise to this type of message ...

You can read about it in the BOINC Owner's Manual

As part of an "unofficial" effort to document the SETI@Home Powered by BOINC, the following documents have been written to aid you in the use of SETI@Home, cp.net, LHC@Home, and Predictor@Home Powered by BOINC:

No need for a mail, surely a bunch of documents relating to a project are called "Documentation". Check your sig ;)

No problems ...

It missed me completely, over my head or something. I got the joke when Randy explained it to me ...

I might have caught on earlier, but I was still recovering from a computer SNAFU. I wanted to update the PCs I have with a set of new MB and processors (though the el-cheapo MB seems to be a LOT slower than it should be, I was kinda expecting that, but still) ... well I have to live with it. It is better than before.

AND I pulled a muscle in my back and that seems to be getting worse rather than better.

AND Apple "improved" my .Mac account which means I have to synchronize the server and the Mac to the new size, and that is only on 7,242 of 16,329 objects right now...
