Msattler has done it - for many months now, he has achieved the fastest per-core WU analysis speeds. Thank you for noticing......... The Frozen Penny should start to advance a bit in the top computers over the weekend......it has just 4 AP WUs left to process from the batch that I downloaded for testing purposes.........and boy, are they dogs in terms of credit/cpu second........even though the Penny can turn them over in about 10 hours.....they do not come close to comparing what it can do with optimized MB work......... I expect it back in the 8000 to 8200 RAC range within a few days........ And yeah, this is a '4 core rig'.....and I am proud of that...... Thank you again. Check this out....The Frozen Brambleweeny 2000... OK dude.........regedit away....... The path is...... And I am a little trashed, so don't take every bit literally....... My computer hkey local machine hardware acpi description system bios central processor 0 See.....you have to drill down a bit to get to it....... Pleeeeeeeez.......I don't wanna see any reports here of folks playing with things that they do not understand and f'ing their rigs up. Do NOT play with regedit if you do not understand what you are modifying....... It CAN and WILL make your system unbootable if you screw with the wrong parameters........... OK??? You rock as always, Mark! :) Just be very careful what you wish for......LOL. Gonna see a lotta Bramblweeny's in the stats now.....LOL. That was our dearly missed Lunatics master's joke....... I have to give credit to Simon, wherever he has gone. The master of the Chicken coop is still missed, I still have hope that someday we shall know what happened to him. Simon.......if you ever read this, you are still thought of........fondly. And if anybody in the Seti world has a clue to where he went, it would still be appreciated by all if we just knew he was OK...... No matter what the circumstances. Hmmm, sounds like I'd better pull my finger out and get a 64 bit version b up for testing,... not much, but would a 5% boost to VLAR be helpful ? Bring it on.............. I can't get any more boost from RAM or FSB.......4400 is where it's at....... So I rely on you, my Lunatic friends...... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." 4.4 giggle hertz........at -32c..... Oh yes, I saw that, and went and bought one for my dog today. 2.75 Kilograms of miscellaneous meat for his dining pleasure. Unfortunately I don't seem to have a suitable optimisation reference manual for that one, but I'll see if I can get some 64 bit ssse3x done late tonight :D "Living by the wisdom of computer science doesn't sound so bad after all.
