I hope this has not been posted before. But here it goes. I have an older 2 processor pentium coppermine 933 computer. I built it for seti (no case) a year ago. And it is very close to 100k credit (89k). Anyway, it has picked up a few astroprobe blocks (maybe just two). I was wondering if their is a way to tell it not to. It is a non-gui client.

Thanks,
Chris.

Chris, at this time no you are being sent what ever the server determines you can crunch. Later they plan to have the option to opt out of AP. Look here.

What you do today you will have to live with tonight

Actually, Stealth Eagle, you can choose what to crunch, go into SETI@home preferences and un-tick Astropulse.

Hope this helps!

Yes, thanks to this thread I won't have to resort to...
1. Chunking all Astropulse WUs.
2. Tossing BOINC in the garbage.

Thanks for the info!

If I let run opt. app I can choose with the app_info.xml whích WUs [Enhanced/AP].
So this is only for the stock [unopt.] app user?

The preferences add flexibility even for opt. app users. If you've been doing both and want to temporarily switch to just Enhanced or just AstroPulse, using the preferences is easier and doesn't trash work of the other flavor which is already in your queue. Going to an app_info.xml which doesn't list one of the apps will make the core client remove both the unlisted app and any work you had for it.
