	Ok, let's see what we can do for the project today. We've seen a lot of difficulties lately where it's definitely possible that the addition of a staff member could've helped get the servers back up with less of a delay. I have put up $25 in a check that will be mailed tomorrow. If you are willing to match my donation, please post your name here on and list the amount if you wish. Here is a link to the Donation Methods Page If you do not wish or unable to that is absolutely fine-there will be no criticism of non-donors in this Challenge thread. This thread is not meant to spotlight anyone unless they wish to participate. It will be locked Sunday night 8/17 when I go to bed about 10-11pm EST. 	There is a problem with the link "Click here to make an online credit card or VISA check card donation" on the page Blurf gave in the OP. Click on that link, fill out the form, click submit and it takes you to a page that says "This page has been moved..." then redirects you to a generic donation page for all of CAL. I had to do the A thru Z thing and select SETI@Home from the list and use THAT form. So hopefully it will get sorted in the end and someone will know that user ID 931 sent $100. In the section for "instructions for gift" I put my SETI ID number in there JIC. Rob ____________

	I would like to help but I cannot. I just cannot. I do not even get the student benefit anymore! I only get the support for renting an apartment + after that I still have to pay way over 100 euros every month for the rent. A month ago I was still living in an apartment for three students (with low rent). I do not know how to combine studying and working. 	Just punched in my vitals to the plastic world so my money would be transferred through their magic to Cal for SETI- 3 day Amount is modest, but the thought is there. And two of our machines are chugging along. BTW my Mac-pro laptop eats about 39-41 watts and power factor almost .99 while the Mac-pro tower with two dual cpus is around 230 watts, and only marginally faster than the lap top for each processor. Machine has 8 gigs of memory and I took out the original sticks as it only added a few percent while eating a lot of energy. Good thing that we own shares in the local power company!!! duke
