Is it true that the UN has made a rule that we are not to send any more deliberate signals into space for fear of revealing Earths location? |

Is it true that the UN has made a rule that we are not to send any more deliberate signals into space for fear of revealing Earths location? Never heard of such a thing. However, even if they did, the US would ignore it like we do all such absurdities put out by the UN. |

Is it true that the UN has made a rule that we are not to send any more deliberate signals into space for fear of revealing Earths location? You mean like shooting a missile up into space to blow up a satellite after we got furios at China for the same thing? |

Is it true that the UN has made a rule that we are not to send any more deliberate signals into space for fear of revealing Earths location? No, it's not true. There's no such rule. In fact, a deliberate interstellar CETI (active SETI) signal was sent into space just a while ago. ....of course, IMO all such messages sent into space are symbolic are meant more for us than for ET. There has never been any serious long-term effort to signal any specific star system, to my knowledge. |
