If you think that is bad, you should see what a spindle sabot round does when it enters one side of an armoured vehicle and pulls live goats out through a hole in the other side. A hole that is little more than a few centimeters across.
Cordially,
Rush

Determined to halt the exercise, Peta has asked its two million members to flood the Army with calls and emails.

Yep. That should work. After all...it's only the entire United States Army they are going after.

Hi KM, long time no speak, hope you are well.

Take your point, but it's all pretty nasty stuff isn't it.

Howdy, Chris. Haven't seen you in a while. Good to see you. :-)

yeah, it's pretty nasty stuff...but considering that a pig's flesh and internal organs closely resemble a human's, it stands to reason that " live action " first aid or emergency surgical treatments would be practiced using them.

Besides....if the pig dies....that just means more bacon. It's a no lose situation...lol

This is the second most absurd thing I have ever seen you post.

Using pigs for live action training has been working for years.

But hey, why NOT use the people in prisons. We'll just take them all out of prison, line them up for the Army, and have them all shot. Sure would make the prison system here a lot less crowded.

Maybe the Army could do what the slaughterhouse does to kill pigs for pork, and then shoot the corpses with the sabot rounds. But I suppose it doesn't have the time to fool with all this. Maybe suspending the corpses is too much of a task. I don't know how big the rounds are that drive the goats out the other side of the vehicle, or at what velocity they're traveling. Some of that might be classified.

I'm guessing this has more to do with 'collecting pigs blood' than it has to do with 'emergency lifesaving skills'... ;)

My guess is that the Army wants to do to al-Qaeda what it does to those pigs.

why they can´t just do it to whoever,
as much i love to eat meat, and i love more cause i eat them raw, except pork and chicken, and i have tried them too, they just don´t taste so good,
i don´t like idea that animals are killed for soldiers to learn something, that does´not help them in anyway in war, it would make little bit more sense if
they would eat them after training, but i doubt that they do.

in old days between battle, there was a break when they collect dead and wounded
and start to fight again, if they have to learn something, they could do that again, and they would have real people to train, not pork, which is not so same to human, even you can use parts of it as transplants.

is it why people go to army anyway , to die for your king, country, religion,or some other stupid idea.

( and i don´t care if this is the first absurd post from me,
point is, i don´t value human life anymore than animal,
actually less, since i can eat the animal)

I don't eat meat anymore,

My buddy raised two pigs. Male and female. I was at his ranch when a neighbor shot the female for trespassing. The other male pig, Wilbur, was laying next to the female crying when we got there about 20 minutes after it happened. We had been at the store. I'd never seen or heard anything like that 400 pound pig crying. Just laying there for hours until we had to get the tractor to pull him home.

This reaffirmed my vegan diet that day. I also gained a respect for pigs and their intelligence. He cried for a week until he broke out of his pen and my friend had to shoot him just to put him out of his misery. I went back up to help him butcher Wilbur. No one else could help him and he didn't want to pay the local mobile butcher to come out.

My buddy told his neighbor that if his dogs came over onto his property he would shoot them immediately. He was... angry. So was I.

What's my point?
