I already know that the splitters chop up the data from the telescope for distribution. I can guess what some of the others do. Lately some of the servers have been up, and some down. Like many of us, I wonder where my credits are. The validate server has been down for a while, now its up. Does it "validate" our results? The assimilator is still down; sounds like that could be involved in processing results also. I've read all the links I could find on SETI Boinc, but I don't think I've seen an explanation of this. The links don't seem as organized as the classic SETI links are. I've had to hunt them down. Thanks. North Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |
