@Moon and Ice.

Can we play this game as before? I mean posting the solution in very small letters here? To send the solution with a PM is not fair

Ice,

Champ's got a good point. The reason I had people post their solutions right here on the thread in fine print is that everyone can see who was the first to solve.

I also did it that way because it removed any suspicions that I was not reporting snyone's time-of-solve accurately. It put me completely 'Above Suspicion'. ;]

Just a thought.

Ice, what do you think?

It sounds good to me and I'm sure Moon will do it when I block her PMs to me :P With her permission here is her answer;

Queen kills rook check, rook kills queen. Rook goes to top check, rook kills rook. Rook kills rook Cm. Ice, please work out square numbers ..because I cant be bothered just now.. lol

Well done Champ! although there is another solution;

1 Re8 Qxe8 / Qf8 or if any other move then 2. Qxg8++ Mate
2 Qg7++ Mate

Heh. Clever little problem! :]]

Has everyone had a go? If not, ignore my solution.

1.Qe3xRc1+;
2. If White moves Bb2xQc1, then Rf8-f1++
2a) If White moves Qc3-e1, then Qc1xQe1++

I'm afraid not, Robert.

After Qf2, the White King just retreats back to h1 (Kg2-h1)

Try again. :]]

Well done again Beethoven. Sorry Robert, but your solution didn't work, but thanks for trying. It wasn't really that obvious and it took me a while to figure it out ;)
