I have participated in Seti for some many years now but recently lost comms. I have downloaded BOINC once again, but cannot get my SETI linked and up and running. I am old and stupid. (When it comes to computers) But still want to help since I DO believe that we came from out there in the first case and am always interested in re-contact with our ancestors. Stupid question I'm sure, but HOW do I re-attach to the project and get new tasks? Do I lose the stats from before or can they still be linked up? Peter |

Once you have BOINC Manager installed, if using BOINC's Advanced View, go to Tools -> Attach to Project -> [select project] -> Select "Yes, existing user", then enter your email address and password. The process is similar if you're using BOINC's Simple View, just select Add Project to start the Add Project wizard and follow the same steps above. |

I have downloaded BOINC once again, but cannot get my SETI linked and up and running. Assumming the BIONC Seti@home (someone else would be able to help you if you had a Seti Classic account), then you wouldn't lose anything as long as you use the same login email. (Once you are logged into the website, you can change [update] it, of course.) |
