Ask the former brass at ENRON

Well somebody had to go down... Too bad it was just a couple of unlucky 'scapegoats'... ;)

Did you even read the article Jeffrey?

It doesn't stop at illegal immigrants. The law also makes it a felony for U.S. citizens to knowingly provide shelter, transportation or employment to illegal immigrants.

No I didn't... But even so, this is America, and not everyone gets punished for crimes equally...

My question still stands... I don't care what the law 'says', I want to know if the law will be 'enforced'... ;)

(Do you honestly believe that some corporate guru is gonna go to jail over hiring an immigrant? I don't think so.)

The problem with your line of thinking on that part is that it's rarely large corporations that hire illegals at " slave wages " in the first place. The vast majority of illegals are hired by small businesses. Large corporations are usually flush enough with assets that they have no need for illegals. If they want cheaper labor...they simply take the jobs to Mexico or overseas.

Illegals are illegals. They have no rights in this country, other than to be treated as criminals.

For those of you who get angry because immigrants are 'breaking the law', I ask you this... Do you get equally as angry at drivers who break the speed limit which is also 'breaking the law'? No you don't and I'll tell you why... Because this isn't about 'breaking the law', this is about money... And in that respect, immigrants are not your problem... Deportation will not solve the money problem in this country... Your anger is misplaced! ;)

Heck yes, it's about money. The money that the illegals are sucking out of our misdirected social service systems due to the bleeding heart liberals who feel sorry for them. The money that I and many others have paid into the system which is supposed to care for us when we are ready to retire. And which are being bled dry in part because of the well documented drain that the illegals are placing on them. Which part of 'illegally in this country' do you not understand?

Intelligent human beings know the difference between speeding and committing a federal crime, while morons like yourself try to compare apples and oranges in defense of your twisted liberal views.

Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:

* Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
* Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
* Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;

has committed a federal crime.

In other words, yeah, most people DO find illegal immigration more offensive than speeding just like we find murder more offensive than drug use. It's specifically why there are different categories of crime.

I think in a global economy world as we live in now, no person earns to be treated as illegal - nowhere. I'm convinced that all people who do the same work should be paid about the same wages for it, no matter what their nationality, skin color, gender or age is, Everything else is nothing else than discrimination.
And an entrepreneur who pays less than standard wages to any worker no matter where they come from should be punished hard. The less money they pay the harder the punishment should be.

No one is saying that it is right to pay someone less because they are illegally in this country. But the right way to treat people who came here illegally, people who circumvent the legal immigration process, is to deport them. But like any other law-breakers, they are also subject to punishment for their crime. Punishment is distinct from deportation. Deportation is meant to return the illegal to their rightful country (restore the status quo), punishment is meant to deter future illegal acts.

One way to punish illegal immigrants is to sterilize them (except the ones who don't have any children anywhere), even if they are to be deported. In general they have too many children and have them at too young an age.

Which part of 'illegally in this country' do you not understand?

The part that allows EMPLOYERS to hire illegal immigrants... The part that allows GOVERNMENT to give benefits to illegal immigrants... The part that allows LANDLORDS to sign lease agreements with illegal immigrants...

Stop blaming the illegals for trying to find a better life and start blaming the people who are actually 'breaking the laws'... As I've said, your anger is misplaced... ;)

(And for Gods sake, stop picking on the 'little fish' like cowards and start standing up to the 'big fish' like real men!)

Add to your list the credit card companies that can issue credit cards to illegal immigrants....
I do not blame the illegals for trying to find a better life. And I have no prejudice against them because of race. If they wish to come here in search of a better way of life, then let them do it legally and documented.
What I DO have a problem with is them crossing the border illegally, being in this country illegally, and continuing to stay here illegally. They ARE breaking the laws. Get rid of the illegals, and the other things you mention go away as well. Gotta start at the root of the problem....close and enforce our borders! And quit treating this group with padded gloves. Deport them. Now. All of them.

End of line.

(Considering illegals are undocumented, I'd like to know how you plan to find them to deport them. A 'War on Immigration'?)

Fortunately this is not permitted in the US under the constitutional prohibition against cruel and unusual punishments. The rights provided by the constitution apply to all residents (regardless of their immigration status). I suspect it's illegal in the EU as well.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

I haven't read many of Clyde's posts but I don't think he was being serious. Or he may have been pulling someone's chain.

Jeffrey.....ya wanna get serious or are you just here yanking chains?
The illegal immigrant problem has to be addressed at the ground level. IE...close the borders. What else would you have us do? They are here on our ground, without legal status. That is OK withh you?

I'll stop blaming criminals for their activities when I start blaming dirt for growing pot and guns for committing murder...

Yes! They don't bother me and I don't bother them... I wish I could say the same about some of my fellow citizens... ;)

Congratulations, this is the first time you've actually made any sense... Unfortunately, your analogies aren't applicable because there are no inanimate objects within the immigration dilemma, just people... ;)

The last time when such ideas were openly discussed, there was a Fuhrer, and people greeted each other with "Heil H.!"
