When was this put into place? It has been a while since I messed around with putting some Opt Apps back in to use again and ran into some issues. Don't ever remembering having to wait so I could get more WU’s. IAS - Where Space Is Golden! |

It was put into place to prevent problem machines going amok with work units. Looking at the computer involved, it has lots of client errors. Once those are fixed, it will quickly go backed to 100 work units a day. Each successfull result will double the number until it gets to 100. Although if you have bad luck and still get those errors, it can fall to little as 1 WU a day. SL |

I figured that was the case. But how long must one wait til the servers give you another WU to find out that the fix has fixed the issue? IAS - Where Space Is Golden! |

I figured that was the case. But how long must one wait til the servers give you another WU to find out that the fix has fixed the issue? As far as I know, it has been in place since day 1. You start out at 100 WU / CPU / Day. For every returned bad WU, your maximum drops by 1, down to a minimum of 1. For every returned good WU, your maximum increases by 2 up to the maximum of 100 WU / CPU / Day, so it's much easier to recover from a problem if something goes wrong. |
