Hi all!

I've been thinking for a while that it would be very handy to be able to sort the 'Tasks for computer' tables, e.g. by 'Time reported or deadline' or by 'Outcome'. This way it would be very quick to check the latest reported results, even when a host is crunching WUs out-of-order. Also, it would be easy to find the WUs that errored out.

Would this be feasible or would it place too much extra load on the database?

All thoughts welcome!

Cheers,

Ron

Dang....I have been BEGGING for exactly this on the Q&A wish list for a long time...
Please see this thread. I just wanna be able to pull up my results as last reported first so I can see what my rig has been doing for the last day or so, rather than have to sort thru my cache every time.
I want it very much!!!

Thanks for the pointer! Posted in your thread as well. I guess this one's in the wrong forum, really. Maybe we should make our voices heard over at BOINC?

Perhaps... I don't know quite who to contact, but you would think that they would read the 'wish list' thread. I thought that's what it was there for.
In any case, it would be a wonderful thing to be able to pull up a rig's results by the last time reported first!!

Definitely - actually, that should be the default behavior, IMO - that's all I ever look at the results for. I'll try to find a place to post this over at BOINC...

Please keep me advised if you get a response...PM me any time.

EDIT...I am not sure it should be the default behaviour, if you are running a very small cache, the current method of display is fine. But with a larger cache, being able to see what has been recently crunched first has many advantages!

I submitted a request to this thread on the BOINC message boards and I also placed it as a comment in the BOINC poll. Feel free to weigh-in with your opinion!
Keeping my fingers crossed... :)

Apparently, this feature has already been requested at BOINC (which does not surprise me :). An unresolved ticket exists for this request. I'm trying to add my comments to the ticket. Let's see what happens...

Did that. Anyone else feeling strongly about this feature, please register at BOINC Trac and make yourself heard by adding to said ticket.
