There's lots of different kinds of mystery movies. But for the good old classic "Whodunit" my favorite is "And Then There Were None" based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name.

The plot very briefly, is that 10 guests are invited to their host's mansion on his island. One by one, they start being murdered and the remaining try to think of strategies and tactics to survive as well as to figure out what's going on. The novel was also called "Ten Little Indians". A verrrry surprising ending, and lots of mystery and suspense. A fun movie! :)

Hm... last time before my TV was broken I watched a movie which could be my favorite crime movie -- IF I could remember the title.
The murderer was known from the beginning, but the hunt for him, the profiling, the investigations, the search for evidences and possible motives made it really stirring. One could almost identify with the murderer and didn't know whether to hope for him to escape or to be caught...

But for real mystery movies (a subject I haven't counted crime movies into by now) my favorite movies are those by M. Night Shyamalan (sp?).
Account frozen...
