Running SETI/boinc on linux with an analog modem with no automatic dialup. I'd like to connect once or twice a day to get my mail and other stuff. Can't get SETI to up/download the WUs when I want it!
PC is running 24/7 so there are at least 5 WUs per day waiting to be uploaded, but when I'm connecting between the upload times they will sit around almost for ever. The '-return_results_immediately' doesn't seem to work.
I'd like to have the BOINC master initiating the up/download on an external event (signal, ipc, rpc), because I want it NOW to happen!
