I'm the new user for boinc manager: seti at home. When I everytime login to the computer and go to this manager, will it take some time to connect to the SETI again. Am I able not to disconnect my computer from the Seti@Home

Seti through BOINC only needs to connect when it is downloading, uploading, reporting completed work or requesting new work.

You can specify the way it connects through your preferences on your account page or through the BOINC manager.

Seti through BOINC only needs to connect when it is downloading, uploading, reporting completed work or requesting new work.

You can specify the way it connects through your preferences on your account page or through the BOINC manager.

The BOINC Manager does, however, need a connection to the host that it is controlling, even if it is local, and this is set up once and never torn down. It can also take a little while to set up.
