Currently there is a general work shortage on the project. This may or may not be related to the recent rollout of the new MultiBeam app, and the new ALFA data.

In any event, it's not a problem with your host(s) so don't go doing project resets or detaches and just ride it out along with the rest of us. ;-)

There should have been a notice put up some where. Or an email. I've been trying to get new work the last 24 hours, and nearly pushed all the wrong buttons.

LOL...

Been there, Done that!!

The Server Status link on the Project Home is a good place to look first when your hosts pleas for new work are falling on deaf ears. ;-)

This is the key line to look for in the log. This means that the server got a request for work but cannot provide any work at the moment because there simply is no work to hand out.

This is also the reason why I used to set "Computer is connected to the Internet about every = 10 days" so that I could download extra WUs to be ready for my PC to crunch. And I don't have to wait (5 hours is too long for a boinc-addicted person to wait) because of no work from project.

It is such an addictive thing that I get so frustrated when my computers are in idle. And I am not considering to participate in another project. seti@home rulez!

With deadlines of 4.5 days, a 10 day cache is counter productive.
