SETI/BOINC shows that I am a member since:

18 Jul 2004 18:21:25 UTC

However, I was a SETI Classic member since:

Tue May 18 05:58:09 1999 UTC

and had completed 19784 "results" or the old definition of "work units".

Is there a way to combine these so that, at least, it reflects that I've been a pretty active member ("more work units than 99.842% of users" in SETI Classic) since Tue May 18 05:58:09 1999 UTC instead of the BOINC date as of 18 Jul 2004 18:21:25 UTC. The "credit" has no intrinsic value other than the feeling that one has been contributing "something" to a meaningful project for some time - a bit of reward.

I seem to rember reading something about being able to make the switch and carry some representation of our old statistics into the new projects.

Thanks for the answers or at least some feedback.

Mike, the current stats from the old program are a snapshot of the data and they have not been updated since taken. They will be up dated when SETI@Home Classic is retired.

I am in the same boat in that I have 61,000 yet my stats are down in the 51K area ... so you are not alone.

You should have activated the old account instead of making a new, but if you didn't have access to the old email-address this wasn't really an option...

i have a similiar problem with credits, in that i have two usernames one Volwrath, one VolWrath tied to the same email. if one types in my username at BOINC stats for the world, they can see both. i would like to combine the two. Anyway?

Not at this time, and I don't see it on the plate for awhile.
I guess it kinda depends on how many people are in the same boat, the more people the more chance of getting it worked on. Right now keeping the project running is the main priority!

2 ways, 1st use the same email address you used when you signed up for Seti Classic and ask for your account info to be sent to you. 2nd if that is not an option then use the password they gave you when you started Classic and change the email to the current one, then do the 1st option. If that is not an option either then you are pretty much out of luck.
