I have set my generak prefs to 3 days...cleaned out all my work..and the re-installed 5.8.16 instaed of 5.10.12.

Restarted BOINC, it says that it is reading my Home Prefs, but then the above message occurs right after and gives me only 2 tasks...do not know where the "preferences Override File is located...any thoughts???

Look for global_prefs_override.XML located in the BOINC directory (folder).

I did not know they were up to 5.10.12 I'm still running 5.10.7 without any problems.

Keith....Thank you...I found & pulled the global_prefs_override.XML file out to another backup folder......stopped & restarted BOINC...and received over 20 WU's...

The global_prefs_override.xml file is created if you set any of the settings through the UI on the machine.
