Whenever I try to start the screensaver, I get a scrolling message saying "Boinc is currently suspended." I have set it to "Run based on preferences," and never told it to suspend, so why has it, and how can I make it run?

This may be very simple, but I just downloaded BOINC and SETI@home about 20 minutes ago.

Your General preferences (under Your Account here on the website) are probably set for BOINC not to run while the computer is in use. If this is the case, every time you move the mouse you trigger a three-minute pause. Most people have no trouble with run-while-in-use set to “yes”, but if you want to leave it at “no” it’s best to set BOINC Manager’s Activity menu to “Run always” while you’re checking up on it. When your session is finished you can set BOINC back to “based on preferences” before hiding the Manager.
